Have you ever asked yourself if miracles exist or if everything just happens by coincidence?
When Christ was on earth, he performed many miracles and he gave that authority to his disciples. Someday Jesus Christ will return to capture his own and give them the eternal life he promised to those who believe in him. I never thought about actual miracles until I lived through one myself. As Christians, our faith is tested many times. Often, I found myself questioning God. Then one day, I discovered we are all part of God’s eternal miracle and he has a plan for each of our lives. The difficult part is understanding the choices and circumstances he sometimes places before us and then asks us to hold fast to our faith.
In 1971 I was 26 years old when my second child was born, a baby girl whom I named Janette Lea. My first child’s name was John and both names are a derivative of each other, meaning God’s Gracious Gift. Indeed they were both gifts to me but John’s birth brought me the happiness and joy of my first child; Janette’s birth, although joyful, revealed the beginning of a long illness for which the secret would remain hidden for 20 years.
Life is a puzzle. We do not know how the pieces fit together, but God in his infinite wisdom manifests himself to us and directs us in the path we should follow, while still giving us free will to choose our own way. Many choose the pathway leading to sorrow and destruction and their puzzle is left scattered and broken. Others learn it is only through God’s help and guidance that the pathway can take a turn and the pieces fall into place.
I struggled for many years with a life-threatening illness before God revealed the pathway of healing and redemption. It is only by trusting him that we find the answers to life’s intricate puzzle placed before us.
My puzzle scattered when I was eight years old and I lost my father. I was 26 when I faced death, but it took another 20 years for God to reveal his miracle and the pieces fell into place. You see, sometimes things seem to go awfully wrong for a very long time but if we remember the scripture in Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose”, we will find out the answer.
My newest book entitled, God’s Gracious Gift – Why Coincidence Does Not Exist, tells the story of this life and death struggle and the many miracles that God revealed slowly but eventually completely. The story needed to be told yet it was such a difficult one to relive on paper, it has taken me close to 20 years to finally get it into print.
Trusting God for his answer was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but it was worth the wait.
The book can be purchased on Amazon in kindle or paperback and soon it will also be available in audio for those non-readers or busy commuters who need some relaxation as they journey by car or at home after a long day on the job.
I hope my friends, family and followers will read the book and find the truth that God reveals through it. If you get a chance, please review it on Amazon as it will get the word out to others needing to find answers for their own circumstances.
God’s richest blessings to you all.
